What works
- One focal point: the product or the result of using it.
- Leave clear space for the headline; add the copy in the ad platform or an editor so you can A/B test it.
- Make 3–4 visual angles (product, lifestyle, problem/solution, offer) and let the platform find the winner.
- Don't imply results your product can't deliver; ad networks review creatives for misleading claims.
Questions people ask
Are AI-generated ads allowed on Facebook and Google?
Yes. Both allow AI imagery as long as the ad follows their normal policies. Meta may label ads that are significantly AI-edited, and Google requires disclosure for AI in election ads. Don't depict real people or products you don't sell.
Should I put the text in the image?
Usually not much. Ad platforms show headline and description fields next to the image, and changing them doesn't mean remaking the image. Short offer words ("FREE SHIPPING") in the image are fine.
How many variations should I test?
Three to five genuinely different visuals per ad set is a common starting point. Change the concept, not just the color.
